Given that 25 ml of mercury has a mass of 340 g, calculate (a) the density of mercury and (b) the mass of 120 ml of mercury.

I need help with understanding the second part. I got 14g/cm3 for part A. I know for mass, I have to use m=v x d where vol is 120 ml, and density is 14g/cm3, which gives me 1680 or 1.6 * 10^3 g, but are they getting "1.6 * 10^3" because of significant figures?
