Write the standard equation of the circle in the graph. A. (x + 3)squared + (y - 2)squared = 9 B. (x - 3)squared + (y + 2)squared = 9 C. (x - 3)squared + (y + 2)squared = 18 D. (x + 3)squared + (y - 2)squared = 18 Help please! :)

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

the circle centre appears to be (3, -2) and the radius is r = 3 so the general form of a circle is \[(x - h)^2 + (y - k)^2 = r^2\] the centre is (h, k) and r is the radius just substitute the information for the centre and radius into the general equation.

OpenStudy (amoodarya):

center of circle is (3,-2) in (3,-2) it is tangent to x-axis so radius =3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if (h, k) is the center, then the equation is \(\large (x-h)^2+(y-k)^2=r^2 \), where r is the radius plug those values in...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its B ;)
