A 0.0100-kilogram grape hangs from a vine 1.50 meters from the ground. What is the potential energy of the grape?

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

Potential energy=mgh m-mass g-gravitational acceleration h-height Does that help? @lynjunlew

OpenStudy (anonymous):

umm, the mass is 0.0100kg, the height is 1.50 meters, how do i find gravitational acceleration?

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

g=9.8ms^-2 sometimes it is taken 10ms^-2 for easiness of calculation

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

In this case I thnk u have to use 9.8ms^-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its : \[0.0100\times9.8^{-2}\times1.50\] ?

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

nope it is 0.0100*9.8*1.50

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, ok. thank you so much!

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

Welcome:)
