I need to find a calculation for the following: actor makes $1000 every 4 minutes and 48 seconds, todays taping runs for 4 hours and 15 minutes...
ok so do u know how to start?
you could change everything to a standard unit(e.g. seconds)
ya that is what i tried and obviously its not working for me
Try working it out again. After you've gotten the total number of seconds that he works, divide it by [(4*60)+48] then multiply the answer by 1000.
Remember, with hours, you need to times 3600(or 60*60)
Since first you need to convert to minutes, then seconds.
would the typical equation be typed out as \[1000\div4 mins 48 seconds (all written \in seconds)=x \div4 hours 15 mins written \in seconds?\]
Yes. That looks about right.
ok im still clueless
4 min 48 sec=14400 in sec right?
What's (4*60)+48?
ok there is my 288
yes.
Now you want to convert 4hrs 15mins into seconds.
ok now to calculate the other is where im falling short at the answer to the prob is $53,125.00
yes
what do you get in seconds after converting 4hrs 15mins?
To make it easier, (4*60*60)+(15*60)
ok that is what i got
so what's the answer for that? we're not done yet. we still have two more steps after this.
he answer fof the above prob is 15300 t
yes. Now, take 15300 and divide by 288. Then, multiply by 1000.
upy
yup
can we work on another like the one we just did?
