There's a commonly used equation for calculating amount of heat absorbed by a substance. Do you know/remember seeing it?

yes there is this heat= mass x specific heat capacity x temperature change

exactly right, and you've got all 3 of those values to find heat. Just be sure to convert your mass into grams first
