caluclateing limits using limit laws. my answer is \[\lim_{x \rightarrow 1}\frac{ x(x^3+x^2-2) }{ x(x^4;2-3x^-1) }\]

at x=1 it is 0/0 so (if you know it) you can use L'Hospital's rule take the derivative to top and bottom, then let x-> 1

you can factor out (x-1) because you see x=1 makes the polynomial zero, so 1 is a root.

then cancel the (x-1) factor from top and bottom, and evaluate the resulting expression at x->1
