Find lim x-->a [ cos x/cot x - cos a/ cot a]

\[L=0\]

Here's one I prepared earlier... http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=lim+x--%3Ea+%5B+cos+x%2Fcot+x+-+cos+a%2F+cot+a%5D

I have tried wolfram alpha, but that may not be the corrrect solutions. There are 4 options: a) sin^a b) cos^2a C) sin^3a c) cos^3a

Without analysing it too far, it seems right to me. cos(x)/cot(x) = sin(x) and cos(a)/cot(a) = sin(a) Thus lim(x->a)[sin(x)-sin(a)] thus as as x->a the limit approaches 0.

fewscrewsmissing Even I know that, it seems the same to me. But i appeared for a exam and there were only 4 options
