OpenStudy (kmullis6):

When a substance goes from a gas to a liquid, it goes through a ________ change. a) chemical b) phase c) bond d) nuclear

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im pretty sure its B .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes it is B :D

OpenStudy (koikkara):

Here...the distance between molecules increases with phase changes from solid to liquid to gas (except for water, where solid is less dense than liquid) so the intermolecular forces are less as you go from solid to gas. Remember that water to evaporate from liquid requires breaking away from hydrogen bonding. Most intermolecular forces are greater (I mean they are the same but they act more strongly) when the molecules are closer together)
