Sodium and water react according to the reaction 2Na + 2H2O --> 2NaOH + H2 how many moles of H2 will be produced when 4 moles of Na is added to H2O????

OpenStudy (prakharluv):

1 mol H2 can be produced from the reaction.

How tho?? could you show work please or explain??

OpenStudy (prakharluv):

ok..

OpenStudy (prakharluv):

Firstly it is given in your question is that, 4 mol Na 2 mol H2O and suppose there is X mole of H2 therefore mole ratio will be 2:1 and \[4 mol Na *\frac{ X mol H2 }{ 2 mol Na}\]\[=2 mol\] \[2 mol H2O * \frac{ mol H2 }{mol H2O }= 1 mol\] ANS 1 mol H2 can be produced from the reaction.

OpenStudy (prakharluv):

is it helpful to u?????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes Lifesaver!!!

OpenStudy (prakharluv):

thnx...
