OpenStudy (vane11):

I'm having difficulties with this problem if someone can please help me? Urgent too :/ The energy difference between n=1 and n=3 is 2.02x10^-9 J/atm. What wavelength will this photon emit? If a photon with a frequency of 3.20x10^13 J/atm excite this electron from n=1 to n+3? The Answer Given is 9.832x10^-7m, and No because there is not enough energy. But how do I do this? How do I start and what equation do I use to solve?

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

shouldnt this be easy? E=hc/lambda

OpenStudy (aaronq):

J/atm? i believe those units are wrong
