2. Is it possible for a balloon with an initial internal pressure equal to 250.0 kPa to naturally expand to four times its initial volume when the temperature remains constant and atmospheric pressure is 101.3 kPa?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

No. Use the formula \[P_1V_1=P_2V_2\] also known as boyles law. Now, You're already given P1 and P2. Now what for volume, you're initial, so you're probably starting with assume is x, and the final volume (four times the initial volume) = 4x How you can set everything up. And as you may know from boyles law, they must be inversely proportional. And you tell me when you solve, does: \[P_1V_1=P_2V_2\] Are they actually equal to each other in numerical values? and that will be ur answer.
