OpenStudy (katrinakaif):

Reaction Mechanisms with Rate Law Br2 + 2NO ---> Br2NO Reaction Mechanism (?) : Br2 + NO ---> Br2NO Br2NO + NO ---> 2BrNO Im not exactly sure about that ^ And how do you determine which one is the slow step with a rate law?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

slow step is the rate determining step

OpenStudy (aaronq):

if for example the rate law is: rate =k[A][B] then the rate determining step would be: A + B -> product another example would be: rate=k[A]^2 2A -> product ps. your reaction mechanism is not adding up correctly
