Explain the collision theory, in your own words, and what is necessary for a collision to be successful.

OpenStudy (abb0t):

It's the theory that molecules have to collide in a certain way with a certain amount of energy in order to form a new product. thINGs to take into account: - Concentration: more concentration means more molecules per unit area, meaning that collisions in the correct position are more likely to occur. - Temperature: increase in temperature increases the movement speed of molecules, and how hard they would hit each other. This increase in speed would allow for more collisions, and the increase in energy would make it more likely that the energy barrier is overcame. -Catalyst: lowers the energy

oh that makes much more since thanks very much!
