How many molecules of sucrose (C12H22O11, molar mass = 342.30 g/mol) are contained in 14.3 mL of 0.140 M sucrose solution? What I've done is set it up as .140 M = moles / .0143 L .140 * .0143 L = 2.002 moles C12H22)11 2.002 moles C12H22)11 * 6.022 x 10^23 molecules / 1 mol C12H22 O 11 = 1.21 x10^24 molecules but the answer is 1.21 x 10 ^ 21 so I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

OpenStudy (jfraser):

0.140 M * 0.0143L is not equal to 2

oops! you're right. it's .002002 moles. That what the problem.
