it's just the derivative of z^7 + \[f \prime(g(x)) * g \prime(x)\]

How do you pull it apart is really what I mean to ask because for some reason I cannot get the f(x) right.

So my answer would be -3[(z^7+(z^2-1)^3]^-4[7z^6+6z(z^2-1)^2]

are you raising everything to the -3 or just z^2-1?
