Need help with solving a radical inequality...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\sqrt{a-5} \le 4\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

square to get \[a-5\leq 16\] and so \(a\leq 21\) but you have to be careful, there is another step

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you cannot take the square root of a negative number, so you also have to solve \[a-5\geq 0\] which means \(a\geq 5\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

final answer is therefore \[5\leq a\leq 21\]

Thank you! :)
