a is not it, but close. "a" has an "ascending" order .... so just flip out around for a descending order

descending order means going down (like in descend into the cellar) in this case, they are talking about the exponent on the x. descending order is big to little, looking just at the exponent to figure which term goes first

This is ASCENDING (as we move to the right, the powers go UP): \[1+2x+6x^2+3x^3+4x^5\] This is DESCENDING (as we go to the right, the powers go DOWN): \[4x^5+3x^3+6x^2+2x+1\]
