So, the balanced equation would be : KOH+Cu(NO3)2--> Cu(OH)2+ K(NO3) You should have solubility rules in your book, but in my book, when you mix anything with OH- it will be insoluble (there are several exceptions to this,but none apply to this problem). so, your precipitate would be Cu(OH)2
