can anyone factor these ? *fan and medal awarded*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1.x2 – 8x + 15 2.a2 – a – 20 3.a2 – 5a – 20 4.a2 + 12ab + 27b2 5.2a2 + 30a + 100

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can anyone explain them too ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well what 2 numbers added together equal 8 and multiplied together equal 15 the same goes for all of them

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

use the identity\[(x+a)(x+b)=x^2+(a+b)x+ab\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for 1-3 go through the numbers that are the products of the first #, and find the 2 that added together are the sum of the middle number, then I can walk you through 4 and 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is for a project. i need these 5 equations factored with shown work. then i need to write 5 question for each equation. so if either of u could pretty please solve them all the way through id really appreciate it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry I can't give you the answer, but I will take you through each one with you if you would like.

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

\[ax^2+bx+c=0\]Break the middle term in such a way that it's product becomes the product of \(ax^2\) & \(c\) & it's sum becomes \(bx\). u can use this way :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your not giving me a direct answer. u would be explaining it. thats allowed.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jiteshmeghwal9 i need the individual equations explained, not jus equations in general

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

It's against the code-of-conduct. i can only guide u :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I will gladly work with you to find the answer but only if you participate.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to give direct answers, yes. but explaining, no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

forget it, i got better answers on google.
