The value of (secpi/7)+(sec3pi/7)+(sec5pi/7) is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you would use a calculator...you would put (pi/7 then hit sec) then + and then do the next...there isnt really a way to do it without a calculator, especially for this problem.

i know but i ahve an idea can we covert sec into cos

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can but it would be easier to just hit the 2nd button and then his sec.

((sec`)/(7))+((sec3`)/(7))+((sec5`)/(7))*is Take the secant of ` to get -1. (-(1)/(7))+((sec3`)/(7))+((sec5`)/(7))*is Take the secant of 3` to get -1. (-(1)/(7))+(-(1)/(7))+((sec5`)/(7))*is Take the secant of 5` to get (1)/(0.96). (-(1)/(7))+(-(1)/(7))+(((1)/(0.96))/(7))*is Divide 1 by 0.96 to get 1.04. (-(1)/(7))+(-(1)/(7))+((1.04)/(7))*is Reduce the expression (1.04)/(7) by removing a factor of from the numerator and denominator. (-(1)/(7))+(-(1)/(7))+(0.15)*is Remove the parentheses that are not needed from the expression. -(1)/(7)-(1)/(7)+(0.15)*is Multiply is by each term inside the parentheses. -(1)/(7)-(1)/(7)+0.15is Combine the numerators of all expressions that have common denominators. (-1-1)/(7)+0.15is Subtract 1 from -1 to get -2. (-2)/(7)+0.15is Move the minus sign from the numerator to the front of the expression. -(2)/(7)+0.15is
