The lengths of the eggs of a species of bird are roughly normally distributed, with a mean of 32 mm and an SD of 1.2 mm.Approximately what is the 99th percentile of the lengths? Is it posible to have some help?Thank you

OpenStudy (amistre64):

\[Z_{.9900}=\frac{x-\bar x}{sd}\]

OpenStudy (amistre64):

therefore, solving for x we get:\[Z_{99\%}(sd)+mean=x\]

OpenStudy (amistre64):

youll prolly need to table the Z score of 99%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plz provide the answer

OpenStudy (amistre64):

OpenStudy (amistre64):

what did you use or find as the Z score of 99%? you have a table for that? or calculator?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

z99%=2.59 is it right?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

2.59 is a z99.52% try it with 2.33 instead, thats the closest field entry at z99.01%

OpenStudy (amistre64):
