OpenStudy (toxicsugar22):

According to the following reaction, how many moles of oxygen gas are necessary to form 0.464 moles nitrogen monoxide? 4 NH3 (g) + 5 O2 (g) = 4 NO (g) + 6 H2O (g)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

One more time 4 moles of NO= 5 moles of Oxygen, from the equation 0.464 moles NO= X moles of Oxygen then YOU CROSS MULTIPLY the aim of this is to relate the actual moles given to the mole ratio of the reactants and products in the equation this implies X moles of Oxygen =(0.464*5/4)moles
