I kW motor-pump, pumps out water from a well 10 m deep. Calculate the mass of water pumped out per second. (Use g = 10 m/s).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got the answer as 10 kg per second using the formula \[m=\frac{ Pt }{ gh }\] Is it correct?? would appreciate if someone could explain with full solution....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, it is. Notice that the unit is kg/s. So the formula you use would be \[\frac{m}{t}=\frac{P}{gh}\]

Okay noted. Thanks !!!
