Are you looking for the (implicit) derivative of \(e^{-x^2}-y^2 \), or something else? I'm afraid your formula isn't entirely clear...

OK then it is: \(\dfrac{d}{dx}e^{-x^2}-y^2\), where we consider y is a constant. We have to use the Chain Rule: \(\dfrac{d}{dx}e^{-x^2}-y^2=e^{-x^2}\cdot -2x=-2xe^{-x^2}\).
