Help please? What is the boiling point of a solution containing .852 g naphthalene (C1C0H8, molar weight 128.2 g/mol) dissolved in 14 g benzene? The boiling point of pure benzene is 80.10 degreed Celsius and the boiling point constant is 2.53 C/m.

OpenStudy (jfraser):

\[\Delta T_b = K_b*m\]plug into the equation and solve

I tried that, but I'm not getting the right answer. Can I get a little more explanation? Thanks!

OpenStudy (aaronq):

show your work, ill tell you where you went wrong

I have delta T =(2.53)*(6.6x10^-3) And I got 80.25 as my final answer but I just don't think it's correct...
