PLEASE HELP!!! (Algebra) The ratio of the numerator to the denominator of a fraction is 2 to 3. If both the numerator and the denominator are increased by 2, the fraction becomes 3/4. How do I figure the original fraction?

first 2 steps: cross multiply both equations what do you get ?

in the first one you get 3n/2d in the second one you get 4n + 8/3d + 6

not / but = 3n= 2d 4n+8= 3d+6

use the first equation to solve for n n= (2/3) d use that for n in the 2nd equation
