Three positive charges are located at the corners of an equilateral triangle (edge length 1mm). The charge in the left corner is 1C, the charge in the right corner is 2C, and the charge in the top corner is 3C. Calculate the electric potential in the center of the triangle. 2. For the charge arrangement given in question 1, is there a point where the electric field is zero? 3. What is the potential energy for the charge arrangement given in question 1?

yup i know that in terms of geometry the distance to the center is sqrt3 / 3, but after that I am not sure what to do

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

calculate the voltage at point p due to each charge separately, then add the results

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and the voltage equation is = q *k /r?

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

yes
