what is the decomposition of 6x^3 + x -37 / x^2 -2x +1 into partial fractions?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

You could probably get away with doing long division instead of partial fractions for this since the highest power is greater on the numerator.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

power of numerator is grater than power of denominator.... so first separate out using long division... our expression will become...\[6x+12+((19x-49)/(x^2-2x+1))\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now apply partial fraction in \[((19x-49)/(x^2-2x+1))\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[((19x-49)\div(x-1)^2)= (A \div(x-1))+(B \div(x-1)^2)\]

den further i hope u cn solve... A=19 and B=(-30)

thank you!
