8cos^5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i get it so that there are no powers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what are you trying to do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean...you can use trig identities: ignoring the 8, we have cos^5(x) = cos^2(x) cos^2(x) cos(x) because 2+2+1=5 and you can sub in the trig identity for cos^2 which is (1/2)(1+cos(2x)

@Gwynnia You are right
