Which of these salts would show an increased solubility in a 1.0M aqueous solution of HCl (compared to water)? I. PbCl2 II. CuCO3 III. Ba3(PO4)2 I'm guessing all of them because the HCl would dissociate into H+ and Cl- ions, the H+ would attract the Cl- ion in PbCl2, the CO3 2- ion in CuCO3, and the PO4 2- ion in Ba3(PO4)2. PbCl2 <-> Pb 2+ + 2Cl - CuCO3 <-> Cu 2+ + CO3 2- Ba3(PO4)2 <-> Ba 2+ + PO4 2- The addition of H+ ions in solution would shift equilibrium to the right, favoring dissociation and increasing solubility. Please tell me if I'm correct?
