Given the following chemical equation, if 162.0 grams of potassium reacts with excess oxygen gas and was found to produce 172 grams of potassium oxide, what is the percent yield for this reaction? 4 K(s) + O2(g) arrow 2K2O(s) (Points : 3) 44% 75% 22% 88%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I guessed 88% but I am 99% sure that is wrong lol

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

can u tell me molecular weight of potassium and potassium oxide

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Potassium- 39.09 Potassium Oxide- 94.2

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

188.4 gram of K2O should be formed for 100% yield then in this case 172 gram is formed 188.4 gram = 100 % 172 gram = 100*172 / 188.4 = 91.3 % i am getting

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

is the options are right pleas e check once LOL:(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answers are right..

OpenStudy (anonymous):
