haha. this "hybridization" is not a biological one but a chemical (atomic) one.

(1) s atomic orbital + (3) p atomic orbitals = (4) sp^3 atomic orbitals forms tetrahedral shape (1) s atomic orbital + (2) p atomic orbitals = (3) sp^2 atomic orbitals forms trigonal planar shape
