Take two containers, each with volume 0.1 m3, containing ideal gases of monatomic He at T= 122.0 K and diatomic N2 at T = 227.0 K, respectively. Each gas is at pressure p= 1000000.0 Pa. A valve is opened allowing these two gases to mix. They are kept thermally isolated from the outside. What is the final temperature of the mixed gas?

Hey do u know how to find equivalent/resulting heat capacity at constant volume????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alpha n k?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no im talking about Cv

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then yes!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So just equate the internal energies of gas before and after mixing.......... I know the method bt i cant find equivalent Cv............ So try urself plzzz!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so i got 400,000 for the internal initial and also for the internal final. im not sure what to do after that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey u got2 get an equation with T(temp.) as ur variable
