Help me!! Thanks! A cone with a radius of 8 feet and a slant height of 17 feet is shown below. What is the surface area of this cone? Use 22 over 7 for pi.

Ok, so \[SA = \pi(r)(s) + \pi(r)^2\] Where r is the radius of the bottom circle of the cone, and s is the slant height. So now you can just plug and chug. r = 8 & s = 17 Which yields, SA = (22/7)(8)(17) + (22/7)(8)^2, where (22/7) is pi Can you do it from here?
