what is molar ratio?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

A mole ratio is ratio between the amounts in moles of any two compounds involved in a chemical reaction. Mole ratios are used as conversion factors between products and reactants in many chemistry problems. For example, take the reaction: \(2 H_{2(g)} + O_{2(g)} \rightarrow 2 H_2O_{(g)}\) the mole ratio between \(O_2\) and \(H_2O\) is 1:2. For every 1 mole of \(O_2\) used, 2 moles of \(H_2O\) are formed. The mole ratio between \(H_2\) and \(H_2O\) is 1:1. For every two moles of \(H_2\) used, 2 moles of \(H_2O\) is formed.
