lab question: When a student chemist transferred the metal to the calorimeter, some water splashed out of the calorimeter. Will this technique error result in the specific heat of the metal as being reported too high or too low?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, is the temperature of the water in the calorimeter lower or higher than the water? If lower temp. and it's splashed out, what do you think will happen to the c of the metal? If higher temp. and it's splashed out, what do you think will happen to the c of the metal?

(Assuming that the metal is hotter)
