Need help for test question Calculate heat given off when 100g of C7H8(l) burns. The heat of formation is 59.9 kJ/mol for C7H8. I did 100g*(1 mol/92.13842g)*(50.0kJ/ mol) = 54.27 kJ I know I did it wrong, but I don't know where. Can someone please point it out? Thanks.

can u give me molecular weight of C7H8

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

92.18 g burning gives rise to 59.9 K J 100 g gives =59.9*100 /92.18 =64.98 KJ

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

got it now ur mistake ???

OpenStudy (azureilai):

Yes thank you

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

ur welcome :)
