when will equilibrium stop?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

When the reactants combine to form some products and the proucts decompose (react) to reform products (both at the same rate). This is referred to as a dynamic equilibrium. NOTE: It is generally considered that the forward and reverse reactions both continue, BUT at the same rate, so that "net reaction" stops, but the microreactions do not stop.

Ok choice B. Says never so its NEVER ?@AbbOtt

@abbOtt

OpenStudy (abb0t):

True.

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

Equilibrium will stop if you disturb the chemical system either by: - changing its temperature - changing its pressure - adding some reactant/product/new substance (eg dilution)
