A sample of HBr contains 186g of the compound. The samplecontains _______________ moles of HBr?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Use dimensional analysis to convert to moles. You can refer to your periodic table to find the molar mass, which has units of: \(\frac{ g }{ mole }\). Now, similar to your algebra class, you're simply using the given grams and dividing by the molar mass of HBr (add the mass of hydrogen abnd bromine together to get your molar mass).

168/(Molar Mass of H + Molar Mass of Br)
