A. The amount of an employee's income that an employer sends directly to the federal, state, or local tax authority http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Withholdings so does this change your answer for A?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 1 would be 7?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

not sure what you mean

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

oh you mean A would be 7 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

correct, A. The amount of an employee's income that an employer sends directly to the federal, state, or local tax authority matches with 7. Withholdings

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

E. Fee paid for providing a service, usually as a percentage of the total amount of the business transacted that's known as a commission (or working on commission) (think of any store where an employee must sell a certain amount of items to make a specific amount of money) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commission_%28remuneration%29

OpenStudy (anonymous):

soo 3 would be E?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yep, see how I'm doing this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not really...

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

I'm basically going through a dictionary, encylopedia, etc and locating each term I can and then matching

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oohhh alright lol but i wasnt wanting to cheat.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

the first one, I found withholdings in that dictionary then it said that it's "A portion of an employee's wages or salary withheld by the employer as partial payment of the employee's income tax. Also called withholding tax." so it had to match with "A. The amount of an employee's income that an employer sends directly to the federal, state, or local tax authority"

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

oh this is a test?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

I thought this was hw, my bad, I shouldn't be helping at all

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no just a quiz lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is homework i just was wanting help.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

seems a bit contradictory, no offense, it's either a quiz or it's hw (can't be both)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

but again, idk how your class is set up

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

anyways, that's one way you can check your answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol my school calls homework a quiz.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

weird

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ehh kinda..

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

so do you know what I mean though? by looking the terms up in a dictionary, encyclopedia, etc oh and your book may have a glossary or index

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

so that's probably the best option

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i didnt even think about it.. lol thnks bro!

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

np
