The probability that none of the 50 chips will be defective is \[P(0\ defective)=\left(\begin{matrix}50 \\ 0\end{matrix}\right)0.1^{0}0.9^{50}=?\] When you have found this probability, subtract it from 1 to find the required probability.
it is the same that 0.9^50
Yes. So the required probability is given by 1.0000 - (0.9)^50
