no im having trouble with the intervals i have my critical points but i dont know where to plug them in in the first derivative or in the original equation

Once you have the critical points, you have to check the sign of the first derivative near those points (to the left and right). If the first derivative is negative, the function is decreasing. If positive, the function is increasing.
