@someusername Please don't give out answers without explanations. It does not help the user learn, and is in fact against the OpenStudy Code of Conduct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

She's the one giving out answers, I'm telling her if she's right or wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry, I won't answer questions without explanations. I just figured most people honestly don't care about our explanations, they just want the answers.

OpenStudy (tyteen4a03):

@someusername 17 minutes ago, you posted: "Correct answer is A." OpenStudy do care about explanations a lot more than answers, however people just want to get their homework done and become lazy at times.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Tyteen4a03 I know the answers i just need confirmation and its not my home work iam preparing for my quiz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's basically what I just said.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^ that wasn't for LilySwan

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sec is the opposite of sin right

OpenStudy (tyteen4a03):

@LilySwan Correct. It's just an convenient way of saying \(\frac{1}{sin\theta}\).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but why is my calculator not calculating sec(-270)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It says error

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be undefined

OpenStudy (tyteen4a03):

@LilySwan Your calculator handles trig function with negative values in a different way. Firstly remember that you must switch to degree mode. If that does not solve the problem, you will need to remember the four quadrants and the relevant rules about angle identities in order to solve this question. Remember that sec(-270) = csc(-90).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it 1.01

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@tyteen4a03

OpenStudy (tyteen4a03):

It's just 1.
