Math/Chemistry question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ask?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Using \[P = \frac{ nRT }{ V }\] find the pressure exerted by CO2 gas. Okay I know that n = .30 g, V = .250 L, T = 400 K. I don't know how to get R and we're studying the numerical valuesof the gas constant R.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its a constant. It will always have a specific value. I don't know the value though. :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah that would be the same problem I'm having..according to the book the answer is 0.90 atm, not sure how they got it though.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you can solve for R. but 1st of all you have volume in SI as 250 L, so make 30 g as 0.03 kg so 0.9 = 0.03 x R X 400 / 250 u can hence solve for R.
