A 200-gram sample of a radioactive nuclide is left to decay for 60 hours. At the end of 60 hours, only 25 grams of the sample is left. What is the half-life of the nuclide sample?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\frac{25}{200}=\frac{1}{8}\) does this help ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if not, think of it this way after one half life there is half after two half lives there is one quarter after three half lives there is one eighth so 60 hours is three half lives
