I got 35 as an answer
OpenStudy (phi):
for this problem you have to integrate. you can break it into 2 problems
\[ \int_{-2}^3 4x \ dx + \int_{-2}^3 5 \ dx \]
OpenStudy (nubeer):
yes its right.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
right I did that and I got 35 I just want to make sure that is right
OpenStudy (phi):
the first integral is
\[ 4 \cdot \frac{x^2}{2} = 2x^2 \]
evaluated from -2 to 3. we get 2*3^2 - 2*(-2)^2 = 18 - 8=10
the 2nd integral is 5x evaluated from -2 to 3 or: 5*3 - 5*(-2)= 15+10= 25
added together, you get 10+25= 35
so it looks like 35 is the answer.
