Can someone please check my answer
I think the answer is choice E is that correct?
I got D. :)
Is this for a Calculus class, by chance?
yes
Okay. Well, let's start off at the beginning. Do you know how to take the derivative of that function?
yup
Okay! Then you should all ready know that \[f'(x) = \frac{ -25 }{ (4x-3)^2 }\]
yup
I hate to interrupt but I have got to go sorry something came up
So, to find the tangent line, the second to do is the find the slope of the line. What you're to do is plug in the x-value of the point you were given in into f'(x), and the answer you get is the the slope of the line.
It's all right.
After that, you are going to use the slope (m), the given point, and the point-slope formula to find the equation of the line tangent to the graph at the given point. :) Hopefully, that makes sense. If not, then let me know when you're back, and I can show you how it's done.
