4) The DIAMETER of a sphere is doubled. What is the new volume of the sphere? A) 8 3 πr3 B) 16 3 πr3 C) 32 3 πr3 D) 64 3

OpenStudy (primeralph):

@jdoe0001 that doesn't help much

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well, I think it does, assuming you know what a diameter is :|, is pretty much all you'd need

OpenStudy (espex):

You know the volume of your sphere is calculated with \[Volume = \frac{4}{3} × π × r^{3}\]So if your diameter is doubled, then your radius is also doubled. This gives you a new equation of \[Volume = \frac{4}{3} × π × (2r^{3})\]

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

thought so too, but all you'd really need is the formula :|, and maybe a few clarifications if needed at all
