OpenStudy (anonymous):

@thomaster please help me..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@satellite73 help?

thomaster (thomaster):

which question? or both

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes for both please.

thomaster (thomaster):

okay the first one is B because colligative properties depends mainly on the quantity of solute molecules present, not necessarily their identity

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright, then how would you find the next one?

thomaster (thomaster):

Normal boiling point of water 100˚C Increase of boiling point is 5˚C Boiling point elevation constant is 0.512˚C per mole so the increase = moles * 0.512 Moles = increase / 0.512 the increase is 5 so 5/0.512 = 9.77 mol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright thank you, can you check my answer?

thomaster (thomaster):

Vapor pressure is proportional to mole fraction (Raoults Law). 200 g x 1 mol/18 gm = 11.11 moles water 720/745 = 0.966 mol fraction of water after glucose is added. therefor mole fraction glucose=0.034 moles glucose/moles glucose + 11.11 = 0.034 0.966 molesGlucose =0.378 molesGlucose = 0.378/0.966 = 0.39 moles Glucose

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright thanks. What about this one?

thomaster (thomaster):

arrhenius and brønsted-lowry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you, what about this one?

thomaster (thomaster):

Br-

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks can you help me on the first question & check my second?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@thomaster you still there?

thomaster (thomaster):

0-7 = acid 7-14= base
