geometric series. Check my answer? What is the sum of the geometric sequence 8, –16, 32 … if there are 15 terms? Formula I used is sn=a1-a1r^n/1-r A1=8 N=15 R=-2 Sn=8-(8)(-2)^15/1-(-2) sn=8-(8)(65,536)/3 sn=8-524,288/3 sn=-174,760 Is this right? if not, what did I do wrong?
